New App Maps Your Soil Fertility Needs

Tiger-Sul has announced a new Nutrient Calculator app that the company says will help farmers more accurately plan for fertilizer applications and meet their soil’s nutrient needs.

The app contains several features. Among them is the Nutrient Removal Calculator, where users start by selecting among many common row crops, including corn, soybeans, wheat, canola, cotton, rice, sorghum and peanuts. Next, enter in yield goals and the app estimates how much nutrients will be removed from the soil. It covers all macro, secondary and micronutrients, including N, P, K, S, Mg, Ca, Cu, Mn, Zn, B and Fe.

On the app’s ROI calculator, select between corn or wheat and use sliders to change grain price and price of Tiger-Sul’s TIGER-90CR sulfur product. That can help users calculate whether they can expect a positive return on investment from using that product.

Users also have access to an image library that shows what nutrient deficiencies look like in most major row crops.

The Nutrient Calculator app is free to download for both Apple and Android devices. For 99 more farming app reviews, go to www.AgWebAppFinder.com.
