Thanks to all of the members that attended Augusta Co-Op's annual meeting on March 26th at Weyers Cave! It was great to see a full house at the Community Center.
During the meeting, the results of the Board of Directors election were announced. Incumbent directors Jimmy Callison and Charles Schooley were re-elected to the Board to serve another 3 year term. Also elected to the Board as a new director was Scott Heslep. Scott is a beef cattle farmer from Rockbridge County with a 500 head Angus based cow-calf herd. He also produces corn, soybeans and hay. He has also been a dealer of Hydra-Bed hay equipment for the past 25 years. We welcome Scott to the Board!
We would also like to welcome Eugene Goin to the Board as a Public Director. Eugene operates Modesto Farm in the Scottsville area along with other family members. Modesto Farm is a greenhouse growing operation that sells annual and perennial plants to garden centers and retailers. Modesto Farm also raises livestock such as cattle and poultry. We welcome Eugene to the Board!
Also, a special thank you goes to Eddie Miller for his time of service on the Board. Eddie was appointed to fill an unexpired term. We appreciate Eddie's time of service and support of your cooperative.
